My first post, lets see how this goes....

Thanks to Peter for doing this first, such a cool idea though I am not as ambitious as to post something new every day. That being said, here is the first of my (hopefully) weekly songs.

This one is by the famously not famous Canadian, Daniel Lanois. He's an incredibly monumental musician who so many people have never heard of, and he puts on an incredibly intimate live show. He's produced and performed with some of the greatest of the greats, including U2 and Emmylou Harris. I got a chance to see him at Sam the Record Man in TO and in Minnie with Steve and it was stunning. This is off his newest, all-acoustic album, Belladonna, which features himself on pedal steal and on many of the other tracks, Brian Blade on drums.
